Ashley claims to be from San Diego, California, but in reality, she moved around often, living both abroad and around the US as a child and an adult. She has lived in Australia longer than anywhere tho and it definitely is home now. She moved to Sydney in 2012 but now lives in the beautiful Illawarra region.

“Dual citizenship is a huge honour for me and a gift I’m so thankful and proud to pass on to my kids.

In day-to-day life, I’m often flagging language similarities and differences with my sons, obsessing over native Australian flowers, regularly missing real Mexican tacos, live American baseball games and our families, and pondering what “home”, “immigrant” and “community” means to me. Definitely, the coolest thing about dual citizenship is feeling like we’re in a spy movie when we carry 8 passports through the airport.”

As a sustainability-focused, community-minded person, she is especially interested in working on projects with brands and groups that are kind to our planet, and respect all who reside on it.

“I don’t take life too seriously. but I’m an ethically-minded person and deep thinker at my core.

I’m a group chat organiser/organizer, girls’ night host, and an “always stop for a chat to the neighbors” type. I’m a quality-over-quantity extrovert that lives for reunion hugs.”

She believes connection, empathy, emotional intelligence, gratitude, and kindness are the only ways to get through life well.

“I’m a minor milestone celebrator 🥳, garden bounty-sharer 🍋, good friend 👋🏼, half-birthday fan 🧁, birthday-card writer 💌, anecdote teller 📚 (obviously), silly dance-party haver 👯‍♀️, awe-moment seeker 🌅, quality pre-loved kids clothes hunter 🧢, phone down during a meal believer 📵, women’s health advocate 👩‍🎤, oldest child 🤸🏼‍♀️.

I am moved by a good podcast or poem, try my best to break generational cycles of hurtful language, communication, and attitudes, and lead with love the best that I can. 🫶🏻”
